I have had the privilege of knowing and fishing with Danny for many years. Some may not know but the Putter nickname came during a long trip with the state fishing team to the Columbia river. Anyone who has traveled a distance with Danny knows you gotta stop pretty often for breaks.It started out when I jokingly called him Puts from the Grumpy old men movie and it ended up progressing to Putter. I have enjoyed many good times with Putter. We fished a week in Oregon ( BASS Western Div.), a week with his brother Boyd at Lake Amistead ( 6 man team tourney), plus lots of other times we shared the boat in tournaments and fun fishing for bass. Sometimes we even made money at it. We also spent time at his brother Tommy's place on Blue Water chasing Tiger Musky. I can not recall anytime I spent with Danny that I did not have fun or enjoy including our fishing guys breakfast meetings.I will miss his humor and friendship but I am positive he will save me a spot to fish beside him in heaven. I am very torn that I can not be there for the service but obligations to work and family make it impossible at this time.Until we meet again. So long old friend.
