Obituary for Dean Anthony Soucie

DEAN A. SOUCIE

Dean A. Soucie, age 49 of Sunol, NE passed away at his home Friday, June 22, 2018.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, June 28th in the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Sidney with Father Mike McDermott officiating. There will be no Rosary or Wake Services. Burial with Military Honors will be at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, in the Pleasant View Cemetery north of Lodgepole. Friends may stop at the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel on Wednesday from 1-7:00 P.M., with family present from 1:00 to 4:00. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dean’s name to the local DAV Van Fund. Dean Anthony Soucie, the son of Leonard C. and Donna M. (Messing) Soucie was born on November 11, 1968 in Sidney. He attended the Lodgepole Schools and graduated in 1987. On November 3, 1987, Dean joined the United States Marine Corps. Dean served during Operation Desert Storm and received his Honorable Discharge on November 2, 1991.
Dean loved farming, the Marines, his Country, his friends and family, especially his children. Dean was not only a father, but also a best friend.
Survivors include his three children: Thomas of Sicklerville, NJ, Ty and Tristen of Mitchell, NE; his father: Leonard of Sidney; brothers: Dennis and wife Libby of Sidney, Doug and wife Marietta of Hastings, NE, Delmar and wife Marilyn of Sterling, CO and Donald and wife Coreen of Lodgepole; a sister: Diane Mitchell and husband Dwight of Hastings, NE; brother-in-law: John Dana of Lodgepole; one granddaughter; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and many extended family members.
Dean was preceded in death by his mother: Donna Mae, sister: Debbie Dana, nephew: Jeff Soucie and his beloved dog: Rosie.
