G. “ Eileen” Meyer, age 97 of Scottsbluff, NE and former Cheyenne County resident passed away August 31, 2018 in Scottsbluff, NE.
Cremation has taken place and no formal services are planned. Private family graveside inurnment will take place at a later date in the Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Eileen’s name to Regional West Hospice or The Residency for continuing education for staff.. Greeta Eileen Meyer was born January 19, 1921 on a farm west of Sidney to Arvin and Nellie (Gray) Livingston. She graduated from Sidney High School in 1939. Eileen was a member of the United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women which she joined in 1939. She was also a member of the Gering United Methodist Church, Sidney Draw Mutual Improvement Club, past 4-H Club Leader and taught Sunday School classes for many years in the Methodist churches in Sidney and Potter.
Eileen and Roy Hutchison were married in 1942 in Washington D.C. and worked there for the Army Air Force on a temporary War plus a six month Civil Service appointment. She later worked more than seven years in the Cheyenne County Commissioners office in Sidney.
In 1973 she and Robert Lewis were married and they moved to Gering. In 1983 they moved to Northfield Villa. She and John Meyer were married in 1988.
Eileen is survived by (2) sons: David Hutchison of Littleton, CO and Paul Hutchison and wife Colleen of Sidney, (6) grandchildren, (11) great- grandchildren and (8) step-children and their families, (1) sister-in-law Dora Livingston and family and her brothers’ families.
Eileen was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Roy Hutchison, Bob Lewis and John Meyer, brothers Wayne Livingston and Verlin Livingston, sister-in-law Pat Livingston and great- grandson Paul Ernest.
