Patricia “Patsy” R. Colling of Ogallala and former Sidney resident passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 18, 2018 after a tough battle with cancer.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday September 25th in the United Church of the Plains, Trinity Site, in Dalton, NE with Pastor Leon “Bud” Gillespie officiating. Private family inurnment will be in the Dalton Cemetery. Cremation has been held. Friends may stop at the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel on Monday from 1-7:00 P.M. to sign Patsy’s register book and drop off condolences for the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Patsy’s name to the Perkins County Animal Shelter, 68 S. Central Ave., Grant, NE 69140 or the Festival of Hope, P.O. Patricia Renee Colling, eldest daughter of Ronald William Dykman and Betty Jeane (Gillespie) Dykman, was born May 28, 1959 at the Dalton Pioneer Memorial Hospital. She attended Dalton Public Schools and graduated from Dalton High School in 1977. She attended the Scottsbluff Nebraska Western College. Patsy spent her life living and working in Western Nebraska with the last several years being in Ogallala. Patsy was an outstanding cook. She loved baking, canning and collecting recipes. She enjoyed shopping, walking, and spending time with family, friends and her cat, Pretty.
Patsy was an avid Nebraska Cornhusker football fan. Anyone wishing to do so may wear her team colors to the service.
Immediate survivors include special friend Dan Krier of Ogallala, her parents both of Dalton, brother Aaron Dykman of Dalton, nieces Jessica Eddy and husband Josh of Sidney, Shannon Anderson of Sidney, Morgan Dykman of Loveland CO and Hope Dykman of Pine Bluffs, WY, nephews Cody Dykman of Dalton, Collin Anderson of Broadwater, great niece and nephews Kaylee, Caleb and Lucas Eddy of Sidney, and bother-in-law, Doug Anderson of Broadwater.
Patsy was preceded in death by her brother Wayne Dykman, sister Nicky Anderson and infant niece Rachael Dykman.
