John and Family: Please accept my most sincere condolences for the passing of your father Jack. I have such great memories of your family, including your father and mother Betty, as your family so graciously included me in your family activities during the years that John and I were friends in elementary school. We really don’t know how our actions affect other people do we? Whether it was your father coaching our baseball teams, your mother including me in family meals or barbecues in the backyard, or just their friendliness as I would stop at your home to get John to walk to school . . . your parents, in many ways, became life models for me. Jack and Betty were very much a positive influence on me and what I have learned is important in life. Dave Groshans
