ADA M. SHARMAN

Ada M. Sharman, age 103 of Sidney, NE passed away Friday, February 14, 2020 in Sidney.
Cremation is planned with Memorial Services at a later date.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made in in Ada’s name to the Light Memorial Presbyterian Church.

Ada Margaret Sharman, the daughter of Gustav John and Minnie (Feldman) Hennig, was born on October 30, 1916 at the home of an uncle east of Gurley, NE. The family later moved to a farmstead further east and Ada attended Grade School at District #6 and graduated from Lisco High School, prior to attending one year at Chadron State College. On December 22, 1940, Ada was united in marriage to Earl Arthur Sharman at Imperial, NE. They lived in Sidney until 1952 before moving to Ogallala for thirty-one years and moved back to Sidney in 1983.
Ada was a loving caregiver for her husband in his final years and found her work with congregate meals very rewarding. She was a member of Light Memorial Presbyterian Church for more than sixty-six years. Ada was a true Nebraska resident, enjoyed crocheting and knitting afghans for her family to enjoy and was a valued blood donor for most of her life.
Survivors include her children: Janice Hoyt and husband Errol of Kearney, NE, Larry Sharman and wife Susan of Hastings, NE, Byron Sharman and wife Paula of Sidney and Ricky Sharman and wife Donna of Plattsmouth, NE; sister: Arlene Christensen of Cottonwood, AZ; (8) grandchildren; (9) great-grandchildren; (2) great-great-grandchildren; numerous extended family members and special friends: Chuck and Nancy Liess.
Ada was preceded in death by her parents; Gustav John and Minnie (Feldman) Hennig, her husband; Earl Sharman, her sisters; Adele Runge and husband George, Louise Chichester and husband Lynn, Helen McKinley and husband Elmer, Wilma Larson and husband Lambert, her brothers; Richard Hennig and wife Delores, and Fred Hennig, and one brother-in-law; Frost Christensen.
