Obituary for Arlene Morlock

Arlene Mildred Morlock, age 79, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother went dancing home to be with the Lord on Wednesday May 5, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer. Cremation has been held. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 14, 2021 at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Sidney, NE with Pastor Chad Rademacher officiating. Inurnment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 13, from 1-6 p.m., with family present from 4-6 p.m.. Services will be recorded and available on the Gehrig-Stitt website: www.gehrigstittchapel.com.

Memorial contributions may be made in Arleneā€™s name to the Sidney Elks Lodge.

Arlene was born September 25, 1941 to John and Mildred (Bridge) Eisenbeisz of Hillsview S.D., this is where she grew up and attended school. On September 15, 1956, Arlene married Elroy Morlock.

Arlene worked several different jobs including Tuffwear and Alco in Sidney, NE. She enjoyed sewing, reading, and playing cards with family and friends. She was always up for a game of any kind and was extremely competitive.

Arlene is survived by her husband, Elroy, of 63 years, and her children: Rodney (Vicki) Morlock of Sidney, NE, Roxane (Mark) Foos of Marshfield, MO, Rhonda (Jay) Portenier of Sidney, NE, Ronnie (Carla) Morlock of Lodgepole, NE, Rachel (Burt) Abrams of Sidney, NE, Jeff (Karmen) Hammond of Sidney, NE, 14 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews and longtime friends.

Arlene is preceded in death by her parents, John and Mildred Eisenbeisz; brother, Harold Eisenbeisz; sisters, Ramona Weber, Helen Peterson, and Marion Lehr; son, Randy Eisenbeisz, her parents-in-law, Edword and Lea Morlock, sister-in-law, Patty Morlock, and brother-in-law, Delbert Sedivec.
