Brady D. Sweetser
Brady D. Sweetser of Lincoln, NE, and a native of Sidney, NE, passed away Thursday, July 30, 2020.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 8, 2020 in the Evangelical Free Church in Sidney, NE with Pastor Doug Birky officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may stop at the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel on Friday from 1-7:00 P.M. to sign Brady’s register book and leave condolences for the family. Brady Donovan Sweetser, the son of Gorden and Debra (Harms) Sweetser was born on March 11, 1997 in Sidney, NE. He graduated from Sidney High School and was involved in Sidney Swim Team and the E-Free youth group.
Brady was the proud ‘father’ of two huskies, Lucy and Nanuq. He was an avid motorcyclist and video gamer. He also enjoyed mudding in his Jeep and playing Dungeons and Dragons as his character Blitzkrieg.
While in high school, Brady worked at Bomgaars and at Buffalo Point. At the time of his death, he was proudly serving as a corporal on the third shift at the Lincoln Correctional Center.
Brady is survived by his parents Gorden and Debbie Sweetser; five brothers: Brandon and wife Lisa, Caleb, Jeffree, Michael, and Travis; five sisters: Santana Moreno and husband Phil, Angel, Miranda Beyer and husband Jason, Jasmine Dunn and husband John, and Mikala; Grandparents George and Rogene Harms; Special friend Ariel Blackwell; and numerous extended family and friends.
Brady was preceded in death by his sister Candy Flood, niece Caitlyn, Uncle Calvin, Aunts Shirley, Nancy, and Barb, cousins Luke and Brady, grandparents Lester & Irene Sweetser, and great-grandparents Ernest and Dora Kleine.
