Obituary for Charlotte E Bennett
Charlotte E. Bennett, age 93, of Olathe, KS passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, March 1, 2021 in Olathe, KS. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel in Sidney, NE. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery in Sidney, NE. Friends may stop at the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel on Friday, March 5th, from 1:00-3:00 P.M. to sign Charlotte’s register book and leave condolences for the family. She was born August 08, 1927 in Kenosha, WI to Christan and Christine Dversdall. She married her friend and love Wilbur Oscar Bennett, who preceded her in death in 1977.
She was preceded in death by her brother Norval; three of her children Elsie, Robert and Steve.
Charlotte played a lifelong role in the Four-Square Pentecostal Church. She loved being involved in youth education and development for over 30 years. Charlotte was an avid shopper who could never pass up a garage sale. She took great pleasure in keeping in contact with friends and family through her wonderfully, fun filled cards and letters.
Her life was a living example of one of her favorite versus, Proverbs 16:23-24 “The hearts of the wise make their mouths prudent, and their lips promote instruction. Gracious words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.”
Charlotte is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Peggy and Dennis; son and daughter-in-law Tom and Pat; daughter-in-law Cindy, several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She leaves many family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
