Obituary for Doyle C Sanders
Doyle Clement Sanders, age 93, passed away peacefully at home on December 3, 2020 with his loving wife Charlotte and family by his side.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at the First United Methodist Church in Sidney, NE with Pastor Corey Jenkins officiating. Burial with full Military Honors will be in the Greenwood Cemetery at Sidney and lunch at the Methodist Church will follow. Friends may stop at the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel on Wednesday from 1-6:00 to sign Doyle’s register book and leave condolences for the family.

He was born in Blackwell OK on June 22, 1927 to George and Ada Sanders.
Doyle joined the Navy in 1945. After bootcamp in San Diego, CA he served in the Army from 1950-1952 at Fort Bliss, TX as a gun mechanic.
Doyle married the love of his life, Charlotte Ann Greever, on December 1, 1969 in Blackwell, OK. Doyle accepted Charlotte’s three children David, James, and Tina as his own with love, care, and guidance.
He spent most of his life working in oil fields which took him to Turkey, Algeria, and many states in the US throughout his career. He spent many years as superintendent of oil rigs until he retired in 1984. After his retirement he went to work part-time for Sidney Auto Sales driving cars to and from auctions.
Doyle enjoyed traveling, motorcycle riding, fishing, hunting and spending time with family. He belonged to the React Club and Valley Riders Motorcycle Club.
His greatest treasures were his kids, grandkids, and great grandkids.
For the last 3 years of his life, he had been fighting Parkinsons but it didn't stop him from going to Git-n-Split on his scooter and having coffee with the guys.
Doyle is survived by his wife Charlotte of 51 years. Sons: David and wife, Denise Sanders, James and wife, Deb Sanders, Daughter: Tina and husband, Doug Hines. Eight Grandchildren: Dominic Flores, Amanda and husband, Tony Borchard, Ryan Aaron and wife, Kate, Cassara and husband, Matt Romick, Anastasia Steinbrecher, Austin Sanders, Michael and wife, Alexandria Sanders, and Hunter Hines. Ten Great Grandkids: Dylan Flores, Jasmine Virgil, Marissa and Ben Borchard, Rylen Jones, Ashlynn, Mila, and Kalvin Romick, Jase Coward, Sitta and Tyraney Aaron. Brother: Thomas Jasper Sanders and Sister-in-law: Janice Greever. Numerous nieces and nephews and special friend, Ron Egger.
Proceeded in death by: his parents, sisters Sarah Turner, Reva Robinson, and three brother-in-laws James Turner, Harley Dale Greever and Max Greever.
