Obituary for Elizabeth Jensen Jacobs
Elizabeth Jensen Jacobs, 89, passed away at Wayne UNC Health Care on Saturday, January 7, 2023. Born in Peetz, Colorado, she was the daughter of the late Jens and Laura Jensen.
For all of her adult life, Elizabeth was a teacher. Elizabeth took great pride in making sure her students were properly taught as she properly influenced the life of thousands. Elizabeth was a member of Pine Forest United Methodist Church in Rosewood. In her later years, Elizabeth found knitting to be an enjoyable hobby.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 16 at Pine Forest United Methodist Church at 6:30 P.M. The family will receive friends one hour prior, from 5:30 P.M. until 6:30 P.M.
Elizabeth is survived by her daughter-in-law, Joy Jacobs; granddaughter, Nicole Jacobs; as well as many nieces and nephews that Elizabeth loved dearly.
In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Jacobs; sons, Karl Jacobs and Brian Jacobs; brothers, Jimmy Jensen and Albert Jensen; and sisters, Lillian Call and Anie Davis.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial donations be sent to Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America PO Box 424053 Washington, DC 20042-4053 in memory of Elizabeth.
