Obituary for Estella Faye "Faye" Sheets (Carlson)

Faye Sheets was born in Potter, Nebraska on November 1, 1931 and passed away in Downey, CA on July 17, 2022. She was born to Ralph and Mildred Carlson. Faye was a bookkeeper for Sheets Chiropractic for over 35 years.

Estella Faye Sheets always preferred to be called Faye. She was a bit shy when meeting new people, but quickly became friends and that shyness disappeared. She cherished her church friends and enjoyed any time they could get together. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren gave her such joy. She was always finding “special gifts’ for them. One of Faye’s favorite things was taking care of the hummingbirds around our house; being sure their feeders were always full and clean. She loved watching their antics. She also really enjoyed Veracruz’s Chili Relleno & Cheese Enchilada plate and Pieloon’s Huevos Rancheros and included them in her menu regularly. Cribbage was a special treat card game we played with her some evenings. She enjoyed winning and beat us often. She enjoyed having her hair and nails done regularly and still drove her car to those appointments.

Faye is survived by her daughter, Deborah (Dan) Fox of Downey, CA and her son, Curtis Paul Sheets of Belgrade, Montana. She also leaves her grandchildren, Lauren Jennifer Torres (Sam) of Queen Creek, AZ, Robert Lynn Fox (Chelsey) of Battle Mountain, NV, Sara Christine Sheets of Belgrade, MT, Christopher Paul Sheets of Anaheim, CA and Michael Joshua Sheets of Belgrade, MT. Her great grandchildren are Makenna Marie Torres, Hayden Christine Torres and Addison Jo Torres, all of Queen Creek, AZ and Chloe Synclaire Fox, Madison Lynn Fox and Jennifer Geraldine Fox, all of Battle Mountain, NV.

A Funeral Service was held on Sunday, July 23, 2022 at 2pm in the Risher Mortuary Chapel. Faye will be flown to Sidney, Nebraska where she will be interred with her parents and other family members in Greenwood Cemetery.

She will be missed by all who knew and loved her, especially her beautiful smile.
