Florence B. Larson, age 92 of Dalton, NE passed away Friday, March 29, 2019 in Dalton.
Private family graveside services will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Sidney with Father C.P. Varghese officiating. Friends may stop at the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel on Wednesday from 1-6:00 P.M. with a Rosary beginning at 6:00 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made in Florence’s name to the donor’s choice. Florence Bernice (Kurz) Larson, the daughter of John Baptiste and Emily Mary (Boyer) Kurz, was born on May 15, 1926 in Sidney. She attended school at District 6 Rural School and High School in Sidney at Saint Patrick’s Academy. On May 14, 1947, she was married to Lawrence V. “Bud” Schilz. They resided in Sidney for 10 years. In 1957 they moved to Norwalk, CA later moving to Whittier. In 1964 the family moved to Denver, CO. Lawrence passed away in 1974 and Florence moved back to Sidney. She met and married Dolan Larson on November 8, 1975. Dolan passed away on September, 22, 2003. Florence remained in Sidney in her later years. She was presently residing with her son in Dalton.
Florence is survived by (1) daughter: Connie Yamt and husband Bill of Casper, WY: (1) son: Duane Schilz of Dalton, (2) sisters: Dorothy Kettler of Sidney and Josephine “Joe” Salmonson of MI; (5) grandchildren; (5) great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Florence was preceded in death by her parents and beloved son Douglas.
