Glenna Belle was born in Sidney on June 5, 1924 to Nellie and Horace Glenn (Dinty) Moore. She graduated from Sidney High School in 1942 and was then employed by the American National Bank. After WWII she married Dale Niebaum. They remained in Sidney, where Dale farmed, through his passing in 1993.
Glenna Belle lived her entire life in Sidney, a town that she was very proud to call home. She would often share the history of her relatives, Jim (Great Great Uncle) and Charles Moore (Great Great Grandfather), and how they were instrumental in shaping Sidney’s history.
She had fond memories of spending many vacations in Colorado, where she enjoyed watching the hummingbirds and spending time with her husband and daughters. After having the chance to meet Red Skelton, she became an avid clown collector. From watching Frank Sinatra perform in small clubs, to enjoying a quiet morning completing a page of word search, Glenna Belle lived a full and happy life.
She treasured her friends that she made through years of being in Bridge Clubs. She helped originate a Bridge Luncheon group in 1956 which is still ongoing. Glenna Belle was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and a 73-year member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Glenna Belle is survived by her daughters, Vickie Selzer (husband Michael) and Daleen Niebaum (Tim Gilkerson). She was a beloved grandmother to Nate Selzer, Amy (Selzer) Hundley (husband Nick), Erin (Selzer) Martin (husband Greg), Neal Josten (wife Kacy) and Garrett Josten. She was a proud great-grandmother of four great-grandchildren, Allyson Hundley, Hailey Hundley, Joel Josten and Harper Martin and numerous cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and infant son.
