Larry D. Dickinson

Larry D. Dickinson, age 74 of Chappell, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2019 in Julesburg, CO. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Monday, March 11th in the Chappell United Methodist Church with Pastor David Abbott officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date in the Mennonite Cemetery northeast of Chappell. Larry Dean Dickinson, the son of Friend and Beulah (Roth) Dickinson, was born on August 9, 1944 in Sidney, NE. Larry lived with his grandparents Nicholas and Evadna Roth in Chappell and with his mother in Wyoming as he attended school. He then began a long career as a carpet installer. Seasonally he would move between Wyoming, Nebraska and Arizona. He and his mother owned and operated the B & L Inn in Chappell. On March 8, 1980, Larry was united in marriage to Sandra Kay (Hahn) Wolfe in Chappell. They made their home in Wyoming and at Lake Havasu City, AZ before returning to Chappell in the late 1980s. Larry continued to install carpeting even as his health declined.
Larry enjoyed movies, watching television and visiting with friends.
Survivors include his wife: Sandy; his children: Paul, Jason, Kelly, Kirby, Eddy, Mitch, Kenny and Susie, (1) brother: Friend Jr. “Dick”; (2) sisters: Diane and Barbara; numerous grandchildren, extended family members and many very good friends.
Larry was preceded in death by his grandparents and his parents.
