Marne T. Feuerborn

Marne T. Feuerborn, age 65, passed away Monday, July 13, 2020 in Sidney, NE.
A private family service will be held. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery in Sidney. Memorials are being established and may be made in care of the family. You may view Marne’s Book of Memories, leave condolences, photos and stories at www.gehrigstittchapel.com.
Gehrig-Stitt Chapel & Cremation Service, LLC is in charge of Marne’s care and funeral arrangements.
Marne Thomas Feuerborn was born on March 27th 1955 in Sidney, NE. He was baptized on April 3rd 1955. He received his first Communion on October 28th 1962. He received Confirmation on April 21st 1963. He was married to Denise Ann Curry on August 21st 1976.
Near the end of his life, Marne returned to the faith of his youth. He made a confession after nearly 50 years and received the Last Rites on July 7th 2020. He died on July 13th 2020 surrounded by his wife and children, succumbing to his third bout with cancer. Marne beat cancer convincingly in the lifetime series, 2-1.
Marne loved quiet yet had 7 children and 21 grandchildren and lived next to the busiest railroad track in the world. He loved motorcycling and fly-fishing in the mountains, yet lived in the flattest countryside imaginable. He was an expert at building and fixing computers, yet despised cellphones. He was an elegant yet understated man.
Marne was preceded in death by his parents Joseph Peter and Justine Mary (Schmidt) Feuerborn, his brother Joseph Martin Feuerborn, and his sisters Mary Margaret Sawtelle and Catherine Michelle Thompson.
Marne’s survivors include his wife of 44 years Denise (Curry), his children Jaime (Brian) Barnhart, Monica Feuerborn, Jon Feuerborn, Justin (Kristen) Feuerborn, Kirsten Feuerborn, Nicholas (Heather) Feuerborn, Kent (Mehreen) Feuerborn, 21 grandchildren, his brothers Gregory (Donna) Feuerborn, Chad (Cathy) Feuerborn, and his sister Gena Feuerborn.

I am so sorry to see this sad news. I know it has been a struggle for awhile but that doesn't make it any easier. Being a caregiver is hard work. I have found after my husband's death, days are hard but it's a different hard. Thinking of you and praying for your family. Nadine Flander
