Misty was born to David Eugene Allbritton and Cynthia Ann Allbritton (Witlock) on November 2, 1977 in Dallas TX. After a divorce, her mother Cynthia would marry the man Misty would call “Daddy Bruce” for the rest of her life, Bruce Wayne Leibee. Together the family moved to Arvada, CO in 1985, where she went to school graduating from Arvada West High School.
After high school, Misty worked for a number of companies in receivables and debt collection, but was most happy with the time she worked with “Daddy Bruce” at Allied Insulation in Commerce City, CO.
Misty moved to Lake McConaughy in 2001 with her mother and younger sister. She often said living on the lake was the best time of her life, a friendly, fun and beautiful place to live. She came to Sidney in 2007 to be with her future husband Chad McLaughlin. She made a home filled with love and they were married in 2013. She loved her two step children as if they were her own. The greatest joy in Misty’s eyes was family and the addition of a grandson made that even more evident. The last few years were spent caring for her mother and uncle here in Sidney before her untimely passing.
Survivors include her, husband, Chad McLaughlin, step children Kane McLaughlin and Anna McLaughlin, grandson Myles Heeren, her mother, Cynthia Leibee, sister Sarah Dinkel and husband John, nephew Trevor Dinkel, brother Jason Allbritton, sister Jenifer Garcia and a large extended family of McLaughlin’s, Allbritton’s, Leibee’s, and Witlock’s.
