Obituary for Nancy K Wilson
Nancy K. Wilson , age 79, formerly of Broadwater, NE passed away at her home in Andover, KS on Saturday, February 11, 2023. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, February 17, 2023 at Salem Lutheran Church in Gurley, NE with Pastor Ted Bourret officiating. Burial will follow at Dalton Cemetery. Services will be livestreamed on the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel Facebook page and recorded for later viewing on our website gehrigstittchapel.com.
Friends may stop at the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel on Thursday from 1-6:00 P.M. to leave condolences for the family. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Salem Lutheran Church, Gurley, NE 69141.

Nancy was born January 30, 1944, in Dalton, Nebraska to Alvin and Erna Lessman. She graduated from Dalton High School in 1962 and soon thereafter married and started a family with Donald (Don) Wilson
Nancy was a loving wife, mother, sister, daughter, grandmother, aunt and friend. Most who met her fell in love with her. She found joy in the lives of her children and grand-children. Beyond her own, however, she was a mother figure to many in need of a hot meal, a place to sleep or simply a comforting and welcoming environment. She loved to cook. A visit to Nancy’s house ensured great food as the center piece for love and laughter.
Nancy also loved sports. From the Lions to the Eagles to the Crusaders to the Jaguars, she would make priority to not miss a snap, a shot, a spike or a stunt! Although she had never played a day in her life, she found great solace and joy in following her favorites on the PGA tour, and on Saturdays, you would find her decked from head to toe in Cornhusker red!
Nancy’s life and legacy lives on through the family and friends whose lives she touched. She will be thoroughly missed and loved forever.
Nancy is survived by sons and daughters-in-laws, Konn and Brenda Wilson of O’Fallon, Missouri and Kory and Karen Wilson of Andover; daughter and son-in-law, Kylie and Dustan Stupka of Andover, KS; grandchildren Zac, Audrey, Kaden, Kamden and Karlyn Wilson and Brigdon, Brock and Brandt Stupka; brother Lamond Lessman; sister Cheryl Borges; sister-in-law Peg and her husband Phil Covalt of Broadwater; many nieces and nephews including Tonya and Rich Stichka and daughter Randi Stichka.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Don, parents Alvin and Erna Lessman, mother and father-in law, Harry and Ellen Wilson, sisters-in-law; brothers-in law, and close great-nephew Tanner Stichka.
