Raymond was born September 7, 1931, to Alex and Clara (Whitman) Worster, at Scottsbluff, NE. He attended School District No. 1 in Sidney, NE
Raymond married Donna Mae Florke on May 21, 1950. They worked together at the Florke farm in Lodgepole, NE until they eventually settled in Sidney in 1964 where they raised their children. They moved to an acreage south of Colton, NE in 1974 and established Ray's Welding which they ran together until 2002 when they retired and returned to Lodgepole. Ray also worked jobs as a mechanic at Elwell Motors and was instrumental in the building of the original mill at Dinklage Feed Yards.
Ray was always at work in the shop whether it was a 1000 mile oil change or rebuilding a vintage tractor from the ground up or drawing out plans for the next trailer he would build from scratch. If it was broken, he could fix anything better than new. He loved going to auctions and enjoying good conversation over many cups of coffee.
Ray is survived by one sister, Vivian Barb of Arizona and three daughters, Jacqueline Borges of Lodgepole, Rhonda & Kenneth Holbrook of Windsor, CO, and Luanne & Marty Bobo of Thornton, CO, and he was loving "Grandpa" to Raymond Borges, Stacey (Dave) Nelson, RaeJean (Kevin) Communal, Ashley Garcia, Rayce (Tamara) Bobo, and Zane Bobo, also six great-grandchildren, Rachell (Andrew) & Zachary (Ashlee) Borges, Kiersten Communal, Cael Garcia, and Zailie & Couper Bobo and one great-great-granddaughter Paige Borges.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, brothers Eugene “Genie Boy”, Carroll and Ronald “Buck” and one sister Evelyn “Sis” Sperry.

Ray was definitely one of a kind. Ray did a lot of welding for KN Energy back in the late 80's and early 90's. He was always on time and never complained about wet, cold, whatever the conditions; he got the job done and done right! There aren't many people in this day and age with Ray's work ethic and "git 'er done" attitude. Rest easy Ray, the last welding rod is burnt and the job is done!
