Roman J. Maes, age 29, of Sidney, NE was called home on Sunday, October 17, 2021 in Sidney.
A Celebration of Life service is planned at 11:00 A.M. on October 30, 2021 at the Shelter House in Sidney, NE.

Roman Joseph Maes was born November 17, 1991 to Eloy and Gena (Tyler) Maes in Denver CO. Nine years later the Maes family moved to Nebraska. Roman was the first born of five children and was a model big brother. He would ultimately obtain his high school diploma through the U.S. Army in 2011, and in 2015 Roman welcomed his first and only child, a Boy named Elias.
Roman was a loving father. He cared for his family very much and would do anything to make sure they had everything they needed. He would truly give the shirt off of his back. He had a passion for music, and an infectious personality that could make anybody laugh.
Roman is survived by his Son Elias, Father Eloy, Brothers Kevin and Santana, Sisters Savannah and Milleanne, and many other close relatives.
He was preceded in death by his mother Gena Maes.
