Ronald R. Michelman, age 75, of Lodgepole, NE passed away in Lodgepole on Thursday, January 27, 2022. Services are pending and will be announced when available.

Ronald R. Michelman, age 75, of Lodgepole, NE passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday, Jan. 27th, 2022. He was surrounded by his best friend and partner of 23 years, Deb, and his loving family. Ron’s wishes were to be cremated without services. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Lodgepole Volunteer Fire Department or the family for later designation, POB 302 Lodgepole, Nebraska, 69149. A celebration of life gathering will be held on Memorial Day weekend 2022 at Ron’s home in Lodgepole.

Ronald Robert (Ron) Michelman, was born to Robert Henry and Cecelia Marie (Treblik) Michelman on September 8, 1946. He graduated from Lodgepole High School in 1964. He was united in marriage to Norma (Stevens) Michelman in September 1968 and to this union 3 sons were born, Cory, Kelly and Curtis.

Ron joined the National Guard in 1966 and was honorably discharged in 1971. During this time period he also farmed in the Lodgepole area. In 1973, Ron began his career with the Union Pacific Railroad. Ron worked for the Union Pacific Railroad until his retirement after 38 years of service. Ron enjoyed hunting, auctions, football, nascar races and socializing with his family and friends.

Survivors include his best friend and partner, Deb McDonald, his sons, Cory (Lori) Michelman of Lodgepole, Kelly (Misty) Michelman of Sunol, Curtis (Jackie) Michelman of Durand, MI, Scott McDonald and partner Cassandra of Irvine, CA. His grandchildren, Cooper Michelman, Faith, Grace & Hope Michelman, Mason, Jillian and Stella Nosis, his sister, Teresa (Rick) Vogt of Chappell and many nieces, nephews and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Cecelia Michelman and his granddaughter, Mauren Michelman.
