Sherry was born September 15, 1949 in Laramie, WY to Jo Ann & Paul Cory. She was the middle child of 3 with her older brother Dave Cory and her younger sister Karen Cory.
Growing up in Riverton, WY, Sherry enjoyed cheerleading in school and spending summers on the family ranch outside of Laramie, WY. That is where she found her love of horses, which she would enjoy the rest of her life.
After graduating high school in Riverton, she obtained a degree in computer programming in Denver, CO. It was then that she met her lifelong love, Dennis DeNovellis and was married at her beloved ranch February 12, 1971.
After a successful career with Martin Marietta, Sherry and Denny decided to buy the Fox Theatre and move to Sidney, NE. 1977 was a busy year for Sherry, they sold the theatre, already opened their new business Sidney Auto Sales, and welcomed their son Dustin into the world.
Sherry was very active with her business and community. But, the most important thing to her was always her family. Sherry’s whole world was her family. She absolutely loved, adored, and spoiled her 3 grandchildren Cameron, Jordan, and Deacon. Sherry was a wonderful wife, the best Mom ever, and always her grandkids biggest fan.
Some of Sherry’s other accomplishments in life were an accomplished pilot, rodeo queen, President of the Women’s Auxiliary for the Nebraska Independent Auto Dealers Association, member of the vestry of the Christ Episcopal church, and one of the absolute best barrel racers anyone has seen.
Sherry was always happy to help anyone in need. She was the most kind and compassionate person and always greeted everyone with a smile. She was everyone’s best friend and their biggest fan. The world is a better place because of her.
She is survived by her loving husband of almost 50 years Dennis, Son and best friend Dustin, wife, Brooke, Grandchildren Cameron, Jordan, and Deacon, Brother Dave and many, many friends that thought of Sherry as family.
She is preceded in death by her Mom Jo Ann and her husband Gene, father Paul, and Sister Karen.
