Obituary for Stephen J McCarthy
Stephen Jay McCarthy, age 72, entered into rest on January 6, 2021. Steve passed away from Covid 19 complications at the Carson Tahoe Hospital in Carson City, NV.
Graveside services, to be announced at a later time, will be at the Greenwood Cemetery in Sidney, NE.

Steve was born to Joe and Mary McCarthy on February 24, 1948 in Oshkosh, NE. He graduated from Lodgepole High School in 1967. He worked various jobs in the panhandle for many years before moving to Yerington, NV in 2000. Steve was a 30-year member or AA and was a sponsor for several members. He was very proud of this commitment. Steve had fond memories of helping in the wheat harvest fields in Nebraska. He truly loved farm life.
He is survived by his brother Mike of Yerington, NV and his sister Pat of Loveland, CO and numerous nieces and nephews. Steve was preceded in death by his parents and sister Barbara.
