I'll never forget the exciting years riding with the National Pony Express Association and the fact that it could not have happened without my friend Wes, who invited me to join and to ride his horses. He began his Pony Express rides many years ago, but I enjoyed riding with him for 15 of those years. Probably our most exciting ride was in May, 1996, when we carried the official Olympic Torch. It was late at night and a cold drizzly rain was falling, but everyone was so excited no one seemed to mind. Thanks, Wes. May you ride the ponies with the Ghost Riders in the Sky forever.
