Jeffery L. “Spot” Turner of Sidney, NE passed away Monday, July 2, 2018 in Las Vegas, NV at the age of 48.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Thursday, July 12th in the First Christian in Church in Sidney, NE with Reverend Dr. Curtiss P. Davis officiating. There will be a private family inurnment at a later date. Friends may stop at the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel on Wednesday from 1-7:00 P.M. to sign Jeff’s register book and leave condolences for the family. Gehrig-Stitt Chapel & Cremation Service, LLC is in charge of Jeff’s care and funeral arrangements.
Jeffery Lenn “Spot” Turner was born in Saint Louis, MO to Donald and Linda (Adams) Turner on August 29th, 1969. In 1971 they moved to Nebraska where they made a permanent home. Jeff attended Dix schools where he graduated high school in 1987. Jeff took pride beginning his career as a machinist in and around Truman, AR. He eventually turned back to his home roots in the Sidney and Kimball areas in Nebraska where he worked for the City of Kimball. Jeff took pride in his community as a member of the City of Kimball Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed playing pool and was a very talented member of the American Pool Association placing in numerous tournaments.
Jeff will be lovingly remembered by his children Seth Turner, Trissa (Matt) Webb, Katelenn (Ethan) Joplin, Cathy (Fred) Collins, and Daylan Turner; siblings; Donald (Lyn) Turner, David (Elaine) Turner, Tammy (John) Flora, and Travis (Jessica); mother; Linda Turner; 4 grandchildren, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Jeff was preceded in death by his father Donald C. Turner, his best friend/cousin Jackie Harmon, cousin Raymond Heuck as well as many aunts, uncles and his grandparents.
