condolence from Wilson and Barbara Loch

To all the relatives remembering Marian, Barb and I are were so sorry to hear about Aunt Marian having to leave this world. While we know her quality of life at the end was not the best, it is still hard to say goodbye. She is among the few best women I have ever known. I was always made to feel so welcome anytime I visited Sidney, and the farm. She and Uncle Jerry have been a great couple, and raised a great bunch of children. I sure she was a terrific grandmother too. Like the other Loch kids I remember visiting the farm at a young age when exploring the barns and corrals was a really exciting adventure. And the Lenzen kids were great at making us feel welcome and willing to spend time with us city slickers from Lebanon. As I got older, Aunt Marian had Matt take me out into the rolling sand/cactus surrounding the farm so I could hunt the jack-rabbits. After a couple of days practice, those poor rabbits didn't have a chance. I remember waiting at Grandpa and Grandmother Loch's home after a big BBQ dinner, for the Lenzen boys to arrive from their jobs at the local grocery store, with the biggest watermelons the store had. Aunt Marian was an extremely remarkable woman. When observing what she accomplished in life, no one can say that just one person doesn't matter or the thoughts and actions of one person won't change the nation or world. The whole nation is a better place because of her and people like her. Again, so sorry for the loss of Marian Lenzen. Love Wilson and Barb Loch
