My thoughts and prayers are with the entire O'Connell family. I have wonderful memories of Tom beginning my first year of teaching in Sidney in 1964. Living right across the street, I got to know him well. I cherish the great times we had those few years I lived there. He was a true friend whom I will always miss. One quick story. We used to set up beer bottles on the kitchen table and discuss defenses and rebounding in basketball - two rebounders versus three, blocking out, outlet passes, defenses, etc. It still brings a smile to my face and always will.
