Sharon (Sherri) K. Gregg

On Thursday, February 6, 2020, Sharon “Sherri” Gregg peacefully passed from this world to the next, surrounded by family in Sidney, NE.
Sherri, the daughter of Frank and Lee (Simmons) Gregg, was born in Stafford, KS on October 31, 1953. Sherri remembers fondly the adventure of living in Ankara, Turkey at the age of 4 with her family. She moved with the family to Sidney in 1961 and graduated from Saint Patrick’s Academy in 1971.
She moved to Lincoln after graduation for 2 years and then returned to Sidney. During her time in Sidney she worked for Sidney National Bank and with her father at Rocky Mountain trucking. In 1983, she moved to Denver, CO. She started work with Manna Pro feed mill as a Quality Control Specialist in 1988 and continued working there for 30 years until her retirement in 2018. Upon retirement, Sherri moved back to Sidney where she cared for her father until his death.
As a young woman, Sherri enjoyed playing volleyball and softball. As time went on, she learned to knit and needle stitch. She created beautiful baby blankets.
During her life, Sherri helped family members during transitions and crisis in their lives and was always willing to help. Sherri was a loving daughter, sister and aunt. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Sherri was always quick to laugh.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Sherri and her family. I worked for Manna Pro for the last 30 years and worked closely with Sherri for at least 25 of those years. I always counted on her help and we could not have done all the work that was done without her. Besides the work we always found something to laugh about to make the day go better. I have missed talking with her since she retired. May she rest in peace. Scott and Rose Joanning

My heart aches for the loss of a beautiful and special niece. Even though we lived many miles apart, I always felt close. God blessed her with kindness, generosity, and an infectious laug, which she generously shared with others. Rest In Peace sweet girl. Love, Auntie Jo
